Students at Daphne Middle School will help fulfill a dream for some World War II Veterans.
An out-of uniform day was recently held where students raised $818 which was donated to the Honor Flight South Alabama, a program that allows veterans to visit the World War II monument in Washington D.C. The veterans will take flight on September 21.
Students were encouraged to wear RED, WHITE, or BLUE in support of Honor Flight and to show their patriotism. In order to be out of uniform for the day, students donated money for this worthy cause. Great job, DMS!
