The DMS Library collection includes books, instructional videos, and DVD's. In the Library Computer Area, students may research, write, and produce projects. Students may print from the computers for ten cents per page. There is a copy machine available for student use at twenty five cents per page.
The Library Media Program has four goals:
1. To provide access to information.
2. To plan activities with the classroom teacher in ways that will help students achieve classroom instructional goals.
3. To encourage every student to read, view, and listen to information for enjoyment.
4. To provide a welcoming environment.
We will meet these goals through an open library schedule. Your child may come to the library daily to checkout books. Through collaboration with your child's teachers, we will plan and execute lessons in the library media center that support the classroom curriculum.
